Materials Recycled

Find information in this section about the materials we are particularly interested in processing and their uses. We are an agile and innovative Irish company processing several different forms of waste materials for clients. Our primary focus is on providing dedicated plastic and cardboard recycling solutions to enterprise and business sectors throughout Ireland.

Cardboard

Fibre - Paper & Cardboard

Waste fibre (including paper and cardboard) is a valuable raw material. It is used for making both paper and packaging. At ROC Recycling, we can recycle and dispose of all waste paper and waste cardboard.

To assess the value of your waste paper, packaging and cardboard, we would need to know the volume of the material you have available, what type of material you have, and your needs in terms of processing and service. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and what we can offer you as a client.

Plastic

Producing and marketing quality recycled plastic products is part of our core business. We operate an advanced recycled plastics and rotational moulding factory from our Newry premises, and offer a range of products through ROC Products.

To assess the value of your waste plastics, we need to know the volume of the material you have available, what type of material you have, and your needs in terms of processing and service. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and what we can offer you as a client.

ROC Recycling also produce high purity regrind in a range of polymers for use by plastics manufacturers and compounders. Call us today for more information.

Metal Recycling

Metal

Ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be recycled and re-used in a variety of different ways. Recycling old metal products uses some 95% less energy than manufacturing from raw materials, meaning that unwanted waste metal is highly valued across a range of industries.

To assess the value of your waste metal, we need to know the volume of the material you have available, what type of material you have, and your needs in terms of processing and service. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and what we can offer you as a client.

GLASS

The process of glass recycling is well established and, where used for new container manufacture, glass is virtually infinitely recyclable. The process depends on careful sorting by colour, while certain heat resistant glass such as Pyrex cannot be recycled by normal means.

To assess the value of your waste glass, we need to know the volume of the material you have available, what type of material you have, and your needs in terms of processing and service. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and what we can offer you as a client.

WOOD

Wood can almost always be recycled. Markets exist for reclaimed wood in construction, furniture, landscaping, flooring and elsewhere. Different types of wood are easier or more challenging to recycle than others, and the cost of reclaimed wood depends on its type.

To assess the value of your waste wood, we need to know the type of wood you have available, the volume of waste, and your needs in terms of processing and service. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and what we can offer you as a client.

Special Requirements

Not all waste can be recycled by us; however, that does not mean it cannot be processed.

For specialist materials that cannot be recycled at our Newry or Portlaoise facilities, we will often partner with an overseas firm to recycle the waste for our clients. This ensures that, if at all possible, our clients can achieve value for their waste.

Where required, we can also process waste that is not recyclable, ensuring an all-round waste management solution.

The value (or cost) of this more specialised waste obviously depends on the type and volume of waste you have. Please contact us so we can assess your needs and how we can help.
